At dinner one day in AD48, Claudius wondered why his wife,Messalina was not at the table with him, as the usually had dinner together. Unfortunately for the poor Emperor, he had forgotten that his dear wife was dead!
What makes this story even stranger is that the Emperor himself had ordered her execution only an hour ago as she had been unfaithful to him...
